Algemene opmerkingen

Effectiviteit van therapie

  • controle op eradicatie na behandeling middels onderzoek op wormeieren (of PCR) is aanbevolen
  • bij therapiefalen, overweeg combinatie therapie mebendazol + albendazol, of eenmalig albendazol 400 mg p.o. + ivermectine 600 mg p.o. (zie ook Matamoros et al. 2021)

Albendazol

  • Innemen met vetrijke maaltijd (verhoogd de resorptie). 
  • Is waarschijnlijk veilig tijdens zwangerschap (2e en 3e trimester) en tijdens borstvoeding (zie ook LAREB).
  • bij langdurig gebruik, controleer leverfuncties en leukocytenaantal.

Mebendazol:

  • Is de meest veilige optie tijdens de zwangerschap en waarschijnlijk veilig tijdens borstvoeding (zie ook LAREB).
