Alle anthraxvormen, dus ook de cutane vorm, ontstaan als gevolg van een bioterroristische aanval moeten behandeld worden conform de behandelingswijze en -duur als vermeld in het LCI protocol
Excisie van de eschar is gecontraïndiceerd.
Meldingsplichtige ziekte groep C.

Alternatieve orale opties bij ongecompliceerde huidanthrax: erytromycine po 500mg 4dd 7 tot 10 dagen of doxycycline po 100mg 2dd 7 tot 10 dagen.
