General comments

Bij een ernstige CAP op de IC moet altijd een Legionella Antigeen (LAG) en Pneumokokken Antigeen (PAG) test worden verricht én beide pathogenen worden ingedekt met de empirische therapie

  • Indien beide sneltesten negatief: huidige therapie continueren
  • Indien LAG positief: over op monotherapie gericht tegen Legionella
  • Indien PAG positief + klinisch verbeterend + geen andere pathogenen over op monotherapie gericht tegen pneumokokken.
