Bij absolute contra-indicatie voor doxycycline, overleg met de consulent infectieziekten.

Er is in Nederland geen alternatieve therapie beschikbaar voor zwangeren met Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever (RMSF, Rickettsia rickettsii)
