General comments
De kans op reactivatie van toxoplasma uveitis vermindert significant door start van profylaxe na behandeling van de actieve laesie (level 1 evidence). Voor exacte aanbevelingen op basis van risicofactoren, zie Reich en Mackensen 2015.
Duur van profylactische behandeling is nog onduidelijk, omdat er aanwijzingen zijn dat het recidiefrisico weer toeneemt na staken van de profylaxe (Silveira et al 2015)
