General comments
Taenia species altijd determineren (dmv morfologisch of moleculair onderzoek aan proglottiden), omdat bij een Taenia solium infectie risico op cysticercose bestaat.
Behandeling cysticercose (extra-intestinale infectie), zie cysticercose.
Antihelminthica zijn niet werkzaam tegen eieren noch tegen larven van de lintworm.
Therapieadvies ook van toepassing op lintworminfecties met Dypilidium caninum.
Praziquantel:
