General comments

Vanwege relatief grote kans op auto-infectie en re-infecties via 'close-contacts' is het aanbevolen gezinsleden mee te behandelen.

Voor eventuele alternatieve (minder effectieve) behandel opties zie literatuur.

Praziquantel

  • Innemen tijdens of kort na een maaltijd
  • Onvoldoende gegevens bekend over veiligheid bij zwangerschap, borstvoeding is waarschijnlijk wel veilig (zie ook LAREB)
